Flipper Shipping And International Trading Ltd. was founded by Captain Gokhan Unsal and Captain Kemal Kıpcak in January, 2003.

Captain Gökhan Unsal and Captain Kemal Kipcak graduated from Merchant Marine Academy in 1986. Since then, they have worked in various and esteemed ship-owners companies as managers. They last worked in Furtrans Shipping, İstanbul as the fleet manager and the chartering manager, respectively.

Improving its turnover day by day, our company has been providing service with its experienced, qualified, dynamic staff since its foundation.

The areas in which Flipper Shipping and International Trading Ltd. provides service are,

1) Bulk, dry cargo and vessel brokerage,
2) Container and dry cargo vessel chartering,
3) Ship’s operator,
4) Agency services in Turkish ports and the Bosporus and Dardanelles.

Flipper Shipping has a potential for working direct with many domestic and foreign ship-owners companies as well as charterers, steel comp. and grain house with a remarkable transportation volume in dry bulk cargo vessel tonnage between 1500 / 3000 dwt and 5000 / 10,000 dwt, especially in the Mediterranean, Black Sea and West-African regions. This enables us to provide a qualified and quick service for our customers.

Our company also have well known customers from the Turkish Container Liner Companies and we are giving them chartering service for their container ships requirement/demand between 200-1200 teu nominal capacity.

Flipper Shipping has taken part in contract cargo transportation projects. In 2003-2004 our company transported bagged cement between the Mediterranean and Carribians ports in the Handysize vessel tonnage. We performed 20 shipments in 2003-2004.

In addition, Venezuela-China bulk HBI transportation started with the parties between 30.000/35.000 mton and two shipments have been done so far. The further shipments are planned to be once every forty days.
